- Chlöe Bailey attended Kanye West’s recent concert and expressed admiration for his show, sparking outrage among fans critical of his antisemitic remarks.
- Her endorsement of Kanye has reignited debates due to her previous collaboration with the contentious artist Chris Brown.
- Some observers argue that the intense criticism aimed at Bailey reflects underlying gender bias, noting that male celebrities present at the event faced comparatively less scrutiny.
Chlöe Bailey’s recent public support for Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has stirred significant controversy among her fanbase.

The singer, who forms one half of the duo Chloe x Halle, attended Ye’s sold-out concert at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. Throughout the event, she shared multiple clips on social media, praising the performance with captions like “legendary” and “so inspired.”
Ye’s current U.S. tour, which kicked off recently, marks his first series of live shows stateside since 2021. During this hiatus, the Chicago-born rapper has been embroiled in controversy for making repeated antisemitic comments, self-identifying as a Nazi, and marketing apparel featuring swastikas.
Although Ye issued an apology for these remarks-publishing a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal-many remain skeptical of his remorse, especially since the apology coincided closely with the announcement of his tour.
Bailey’s visible support for Ye has drawn sharp criticism online, with many condemning not only her attendance but also her enthusiastic social media posts.
One user on X commented, “chloe baby.. put the phone down omfg.”
Critics also referenced Bailey’s past association with Chris Brown, another artist surrounded by controversy, questioning her judgment.
“Wtf is wrong with her? I tried to give her a 2nd chance after that Chris Brown collab but forget it,” expressed one disappointed fan.
While many have denounced anyone backing Ye’s comeback, some have highlighted a disparity in backlash based on gender. Male celebrities such as Dave Chappelle, The Game, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Gates were also present at the concert but did not face the same level of public reproach as Bailey.
This discrepancy may partly stem from entrenched misogyny, but also from Bailey’s affiliation with Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment, the label and management company that represents her. Beyoncé has long championed Bailey’s career, adding another layer to the controversy.
Ye’s relationship with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, once close collaborators and friends, has deteriorated significantly. The rift deepened after Ye made disturbing allegations involving the couple’s son, a move that appears to have permanently severed ties.
In response to the backlash, Chlöe has chosen silence on the matter. Instead, she shared a heartfelt Easter message on social media, focusing on faith and positivity.
“happy Easter! thank you Jesus for your everlasting love. have a blessed day everyone!” she wrote, steering the conversation away from controversy.
