FX’s science fiction series Alien: Earth is expanding its cast for the second season with the addition of a celebrated actor from the fantasy genre.

Peter Dinklage, widely recognized for his iconic portrayal of Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has been confirmed as a series regular for the upcoming season, according to Deadline. While the specifics of his character remain under wraps, his involvement is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike.

Premiering last August on FX, Alien: Earth is a spin-off from the renowned Alien film franchise. The show stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, a human-robot hybrid navigating a complex futuristic world. The series secured a renewal for its second season in November, with acclaimed showrunner Noah Hawley, known for his work on Fargo, at the helm. Dinklage’s television career is distinguished by his four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, earned through his role in Game of Thrones. * Netflix’s upcoming fifth season of Bridgerton, which will spotlight Hannah Dodd’s Francesca and Masali Baduza’s Michaela, has expanded its ensemble with three new cast members. Tega Alexander, known for MobLand, will portray the charming bachelor Christopher Anderson. Jacqueline Boatswain, from The Diplomat, joins as Helen, Michaela’s mother, while Gemma Knight Jones, recognized for her role in Andor, will play Lady Elizabeth Ashworth, a close confidante of Michaela.

* Uma Thurman is set to reprise her role as Charley, a former Special Ops operative, in the second season of Showtime’s Dexter: Resurrection.

* TV legend Judd Hirsch (Taxi) will appear in the two-part finale of Fox’s medical drama Doc, airing Tuesday, April 14 at 8 p.m. As Herman Zweig, a Holocaust survivor, Hirsch’s character becomes trapped in the hospital during a critical lockdown caused by a deadly virus, as reported by Deadline.

* ABC’s R.J. Decker has cast David Zayas (Dexter) and Stephen Bishop (The Equalizer) in pivotal recurring roles. Zayas will play Victor, the father of Emi, while Bishop takes on the role of Bruce, a real estate developer, according to Deadline.
