Atlanta often sparks debate-some say it’s more myth than city, yet it undeniably stands as a powerhouse of culture and influence. This duality was on full display during the recent 404 Day festivities, a landmark event that truly captured the city’s dynamic spirit.

Conceived by Brandon Butler, the visionary behind the Atlanta-centric media platform Butter.ATL, 404 Day-named after Atlanta’s iconic area code and celebrated annually on April 4th-united thousands of locals and visitors alike. The event featured an eclectic mix of concerts, parties, community gatherings, and cultural showcases that highlighted the city’s vibrant energy.

Among the standout highlights was the ‘404 Taste The Block’ food festival, a collaboration between Big Boi and Impossible Foods. This culinary celebration included a live set from the legendary ATL rapper himself, alongside interactive experiences such as a barbershop pop-up, custom airbrushed hats and tote bags, festival-style photo booths, and competitive Pop-a-Shot basketball games.

Festival attendees indulged in a variety of plant-based dishes from Impossible Foods, with Big Boi’s exclusive Double Smash Burger stealing the spotlight. This innovative burger quickly became a crowd favorite, showcasing the growing popularity of plant-based cuisine in Atlanta’s food scene.

Reflecting on the collaboration in an CBS News interview, Big Boi shared, “The only burger I can really have is Impossible, so why not?” He emphasized the importance of enjoying food that supports both personal freedom and health, stating, “I want people to close their eyes, lean back, and say, ‘That’s it.’ Health is wealth.”
