Jennifer Lopez and her label, Sony Epic Records, have parted ways. J.LO’s manager, Benny Medina, commented on their break-up, “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together.”  Hopefully this set back does not delay her 7^th studio album, “LOVE?”, which is supposed to hit shelves this April.

Update: Word on the street is that Jenny from the Block is making her new home at Def Jam! Thats a good look…

Jayson Williams, the former NJ Nets ball player, was condemned this morning to five years in prison for his participation in the shooting of his limousine driver in 2002.  Williams will face a minimum of 18 months behind bars before he can be qualified for parole.

Shyne is officially re-signed with Def Jam under a seven figure deal!  Def Jam CEO, LA Reid, has mended his severed relationship with Shyne, and voyaged to Belize to get Shyne’s signature in person. The two are preparing to put out the rapper’s next highly anticipated album, Shyne’s first in over six years.

“I have come here to stand by Shyne and to officially kick off our partnership with Island Def Jam Music Group and Gangland Records, and so it is really an honor to be here.” Reid Told 7 News of Belize.

“I don’t expect it, I can promise it,”   said Reid of Shyne’s potential success.
