Mavs sign O.J. Mayo! Kurt Thomas returns to the Knicks!

The Dallas Mavericks agreed to a multi-year deal with Memphis Grizzlies SG O.J. Mayo! Mayo, 24, averaged over 15 points per game in first four seasons (w/ the Grizzlies), and was the third overall pick in 2008 #NBADraft! The #Mavs are starting to piece together a solid squad after losing #Chandler, #Kidd, #Odom, J.J. Barea, and Jason Terry to trades and free-agency over the last year!

#KurtThomasReturnsToNY #KnicksOfficialTradeFelton The NY Knicks #officially agreed to a sign-and-trade with the Portland Trailblazers for PG Raymond Felton and F/C Kurt Thomas in exchange for F Jared Jeffries, C Dan Gadzuric, 2012 second-round pick (#48) Kostas Papanikolaou and Giorgos Printezis, and a protected future second-round pick. Thomas had some of his best years (1998-2004) with the #Knicks averaging over 10 ppg and 10 boards per game.

#JLinControversyContinues The #Knicks would have to deal with a $43 Million luxury tax (on the third year of his contract) if they were to pick up Jeremy Lin from the Houston Rockets (offer sheet). On the other hand, #JLin brought a lot of positive interest and publicity to the Knicks, so they could lose $$$ w/o him as well. Their is some controversy lingering because the Rockets changed their offer sheet after the official free agency signing date opened up, that in effect put the #Knicks in an awkward position. The #Knicks are currently feuding (w/ the Rockets) over the changed offer sheet, and the deadline. Currently the deadline is set for 11:59PM tonight (72 Hours after receiving the offer sheet), but the #Knicks are saying that the Rockets sent the offer sheet to the wrong office on Saturday night.
