Mets sweep Rays!

Kirk Nieuwenhuis hit a lead-off HR, and a two-run HR later in the game to get his first multi-HR game of his career! Lucas Duda hit a two-RBI double and sac-fly RBI to stack runs for the #Mets! Johan Santana came-back after getting bombed by the Yankees in the #Bronx! Johan Santana threw the #Mets first ever no-hitter in the game before the #Bronx bombing! #Santana (4-3, 3.23 ERA) gave up six hits, four earned runs, four walks, while striking out six in five innings pitched! Frank Francisco notched his 16th save of the season! The #Mets improved their record to (35-29), while the #Rays dropped to (35-28)! Ironically, The Mets helped the cross-town Yankees distance themselves from the Rays in the AL East with the sweep!

#DickeyNoHitterAppeal Mets ace R.A. Dickey pitched a one-hitter in game two of this series, and #Mets manager appealed it as a no-hitter! The #Mets and #Dickey are waiting for the results of the appeal, and #Dickey still bent over the decision to appeal.
