John Legend executive produces ‘Mix Blessings’ for NBC

Announced today, NBC will produce ‘Mixed Blessings’ a comedy series about a popular black hip hop artist who discovers he has a white teenage son growing up in the suburbs and the hijinks that ensue.
John Legend is executive producing the project with his partner Mike Jackson through their company, Get Lifted Film. Jackson is said to have inspired the concept for the show, bred in suburban Philadelphia.
