Akon hits Emmy Stage w/ the Lonely Island

Hip hop fans were surprised with an appearance from Akon during a mashup of SNL digital shorts from Andy Sanberg’s comedy group, The Lonely Island, that also featured 90′s adult contemporary crooner Michael Bolton.
Otherwise it was business as usual at the 63rd Primetime Emmy’s, hosted by Glee’s Jane Lynch during live broadcast from the Nokia theater in Los Angeles last night. ABC hit ‘Modern Family’ swept up taking home five awards including best comedy series. Similarly celebrated favorite, ‘Mad Men’ was named best drama fourth year in a row against new HBO titans ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Boardwalk Empire’.
