H.O.F. Willie Mays AKA The Say Hey Kid is hands-down the best player in MLB history! He played with power, speed, and signature defense (outfield). Today is Willie Mays 80th Birthday, born May 6, 1931. He played from 1951-1973 for the NY Giants, SF Giants, and the NY Mets. He was a 2X MVP, 24X All-Star, and 12X Gold Glover. He created the infamous ‘basket-catch’ that catapulted the Giants to win the World Series in 1954. He hit 660 HR’s and was only second to Hank Aaron (714) (now 4th) when he retired. He retired 10th in RBI’s with 1903. He also retired 29th for career SB’s (338). Watch the video’s!
