Gonzo signs big contract with Sox

@SportsBata

Adrian Gonzalez AKA Gonzo signed a seven-year, $154 Million contract extension with the Boston Red Sox, yesterday. He was traded to the Sox for four players last year, but the Red Sox wanted to wait till after Opening Day to formalize the contract to avoid luxury taxes. Gonzo was the first overall pick (by the Florida Marlins) in the 2000 MLB draft. He averaged about 30 HR’s, 100 RBI’s, and .285 BA for his career. He is consistent and plays great on the field. Check out his achievements from the last couple of years. (info courtesy foxsports)
