Enter… NBA Playoffs 2011
At the doorstep to the playoffs let’s see the match-up’s to watch this weekend. The two biggest match-up’s to watch will be #6 NY Knicks vs. the #3 Boston Celtics in the East (starts Sun), and the #6 Portland Trailblazers vs. the #3 Dallas Mavericks (Sat) in the West. The Miami Heat will always be a big ticket, and the Thunder/Nuggets match-up will be good as well.
The Knicks are revamped with Stat, ‘Melo, and Mr. Big Shot and have won seven straight before dropping the last two (exhibition type) games in the regular season. The Celtic’s have the original ‘Big 3′, and made deep runs in the playoffs in 2008 (Champions) and 2010 (NBA Finals).
The Trailblazers have been on the up and up since acquiring Gerald Wallace from the Charlotte Bobcats midway through the season. Wallace is a great all around player: tight on steals, good on boards, and a great scorer. The Mavericks are always stacked with talent, best record, but do not seem to fair well in the playoffs.
