Spring 2011 maxi dresses are not quite as flattering as last season’s baby doll spaghetti straps and halters. This season, it’s more formfitting, which can be a bad thing, if you’re body is not quite ready for the summer. On a positive outlook, however, it can be a motivation factor if you want to shed that last few extra pounds. Oh and I forgot to mention, they come in great designs. Here are some of my favorite picks below!

1. Topshop: Lurex Maxi Dress-$60- Cotton, scooped neck, long sleeved dress with a waist tie. The waist tie gives it a little oomph with an illusion of a slimmer waist.

2. Forever21: Striped Maxi Dress-$22.80- Knit heather grey/black long sleeved maxi dress.

3. Urban Outfitters: Nom De Plume by YaYa Fallon Maxi Dress-$79.00- This slinky printed knit dress is cut to the floor with a single shoulder strap. Finished with high slits along the side. The side slit and single shoulder strap gives a feminine approach.

Maxi dresses are awesome! They can be dressed up or down depending on the accessorizing. So hurry up into a store near you!
