Coach K gets 900

Coach K got his 900th win with style, last night, when his Duke Blue Devils beat the Michigan Wolverines 73-71. The game went down to the wire with Michigan failing to hit the clutch shot in the closing seconds, and Duke advanced to the Sweet 16! Coach K(rzyzewski) is only two behind the infamous Indiana coach B.O.B. Knight (902) for Division I college ball.

“The 900, it means that we’re advancing,” Krzyzewski said. “That’s the main thing.”
“We told our kids it would be like playing Butler in the national championship — a very similar, tough-minded, really, really good basketball team,” Krzyzewski said. “I’m proud of our effort and obvious ecstatic that we’re moving on.”
