Hazing? What’s hazing?
Damn, so this brings us here. The Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho in New Jersey were brought up on alleged hazing charges, as were my brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi in Texas. First and foremost, I’m not saying any of it is true. I’m saying that I’m from the ‘hood where snitching is frowned upon. So if you know what you’re about to embark on isn’t right or too much for you, stop bi…ugh…Snitching!
When asked if I could host this column, I was asked to keep it 1000% real. I agreed because I could care less what anyone thought about what I had to say; after all, it’s MY cup (keep ya head up, Weezy)!
Back to these hazing allegations, I think folks know what’s going on before hand. There’s no way any chapter tells their “interest group” that it’s all peaches and paper (#noAKA) and think shit won’t hit the fan. I mean damn.
I’m not saying that these things actually happened at these schools, I’m just saying that as an undergraduate student, you know what the tick-tock is on your campus. Chances are you know the Alphas do their thing, the Nupes go hard and the Ques are weekend-warriors (Hypothetically, guys… Kinda. LOL :: Kanye Shrugs:: ). That still doesn’t give you fuckin’ droppees the right to snitch on the underground society that you couldn’t be a part of. Bow out in grace!
I can’t be as vulgar as I’d like but you get my drift. The bottom line is, they even paid Funk Master Flex to go against the “hood grain” to not endorse the “Stop Snitchin’” campaign. Everybody’s got a price, I guess. Mine is NOT going to jail (for any words I’ve said, ofcourse). Can you say, “disclaimer?”
But in all seriousness (and politically-correctness), don’t haze, it’s wack, people can get hurt, it’s inhumane, it’s un-Christian, Masons wouldn’t do it, blah blah blah… But if you want some love in this here Greek World, GRAB LIFE BY THE BALLS! #seewhatIdidthere?
