Faith Evans, Regina Hall, Rocsi Diaz & More Honored at The 2015 WEEN Awards

The 5th annual WEEN Awards took place November 18th at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City. Over 400 people came together to celebrate and honor the 2015 WEEN Award honorees for their work in entertainment, media and politic.

Honorees of the exclusive event included HLN host Rocsi Diaz, Power’s Naturi Naughton, Think Like A Man actress Regina Hall, Music legend Faith Evans and Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby were among the few of the recipients in attendance that evening.

WEEN is a non profit organization aimed at promoting a positive image of women in the media. The money made from the night’s award ceremony will support the annual WEEN academy, which is a six week crash course on the entertainment business for 18-22 year old.

As we continue to pay it forward, now more than ever, we have an opportunity to level the playing field and gender gap that exists among women in the United States and across the globe by providing career development and entrepreneurship to young women through our WEEN Academy program,” exclaimed WEEN Co-Founder and CEO, Valeisha Butterfield Jones.
