Rich Homie Quan Addresses Rich Gang Departure & Young Thug Diss [Video]
Last month, Rich Homie Quan announced during a radio interview that he’d be taking some time off of Rich Gang to focus on the delivery of his long-awaited debut album. His fellow group member Young Thug appeared to have taken the decision rather personally, however, and dissed his frequent collaborator at a show a few weeks later.
After the video went viral, Thugger took to his Instagram to deny that it was a diss, and Quan started following him again soon after. This weekend while down at SXSW, Quan addressed the whole situation in an interview with Shade 45.
On his status with Rich Gang:
When I said that, people just blew it out of proportion. I never said I wasn’t going to do the Rich Gang thing, I said I was just going to focus on myself a little bit more. Rich Gang’s my family. Bird, that’s my uncle. Like, everybody know that. I never said I’ma stop f*cking with them, I was just going to start focusing on myself a little bit more. That’s all.
On Young Thug’s diss:
Yeah, he called me B*tch Homie Quan. I don’t know [why.] But at the same time, I wish Thugger the best success, the best in his career…
