Manny Pacquiao Is ‘Crossing Fingers’ For A Future Fight Against Floyd Mayweather JR.
Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Floyd Mayweather JR.
News? Probably not. But he is open and looking forward to the fight. If only he can get Mayweather to share in that enthusiasm we might finally get that superfight.
During a promo trip to Hong Kong, Pacquiao answered the age old Mayweather question to The Telegraph.
“Hopefully that fight will happen by next year. I’m crossing my fingers that that fight will happen but right now my mind is already set to focus on my next fight with Algieri. I think the time to talk about that issue is after the fight.”
Of course, all of this talk will mean absolutely nothing if Pacquiao doesn’t beat Chris Algieri on November 22 in Mecau, China. Mayweather is scheduled to fight again May 5, although he has yet to announce an opponent. Everyone seems to be commenting on the possibility of this fight, especially Mayweather SR. and his son. Maybe it really is just time… at least we hope.
