Indianapolis Colts Owner Pleads Guilty To OWI & Suspended By NFL [Update]
Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay will avoid jail time after getting caught driving a little wild as he tried “to find his house.”
In March, the outspoken owner was caught with $29,029 in cash and a lot of prescription drugs as he was pulled over after driving “erratically.”
After originally pleading not guilty to two counts of OWI – a misdemeanor, Irsay has decided to change his tune and plead guilty but will have to serve one year of probation which includes random drug testing according to Indianapolis Star‘s Mark Alesia.
If he gets another OWI in the next five years the charge will be changed to a felony.
The NFL suspended Irsay for six games and levied a fine of $500,000 for his role in the arrest. The suspension will begin on Wednesday.
