Los Angeles Clippers Trade Jared Dudley To Milwaukee Bucks
The Los Angeles Clippers made a trade today.
Jared Dudley will be headed to the Milwaukee Bucks for swingman Carlos Delfino, Miroslav Raduljica, a future first-round pick and second-round pick according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
This looks like a bit of a salary dump as Delfino missed all of last year and possibly this year as well after hurting his right foot which has required multiple surgeries. His salary is non guaranteed next season.
Raduljica is owed $1.5 million this season but his salary is also non-guaranteed next season allowing the team to save some money.
Meanwhile, Dudley is owed $4.25 million this season and again next season although an early termination option can be used at the end of the season.
Dudley averaged 6.9 points per game and 2.2 rebounds for the Clippers last season while shooting .36 percent from three point range.
Delfino, who missed all of last season because of injury, is likely to be out all of this year, too, according to Wojnarowski, making this trade purely about unloading Dudley’s salary from the Clippers’ perspective (Twitter link). Dudley is set to make $4.25MM this season and has an early termination option for the final season of his contract in 2015/16, which is also for $4.25MM.
