Ferguson Police Chief Defends Actions Against Protestors [Video]
Ferguson police chief Thomas Jackson held a press conference earlier today (August 14), to explain his plan to keep peace among a town that has seen excessive force used against them in the name of peace.
Jackson said he wanted to help the protestors by setting cones and porter potty’s for them while they practice their constitutional right.
“We need everybody to tone it down,” he said speaking of intensity of the standoff between police officials and the protesters of the suburb.
He also stated that he was glad that nobody got “seriously hurt” although a police officer broke his ankle and countless citizens were hit with tear gas and rubber bullets.
Jackson acknowledged that the situation “doesn’t look good” and even compared it to a “powderkeg.”
