NBA Dunk Contest Has Nothing on the Drew League! [Video]

It’s been no secret that the quality of the NBA dunk contest has deteriorated in recent years. The creativity and excitement is no longer there, and LeBron James just refuses to participate and possibly save the showcase that used to be one of the most exciting events of the year.

Enter the Drew League, one of Los Angeles’ top amateur basketball leagues. Even pro ball players regularly stop by to put up massive numbers, most notably Kevin Durant, Paul George and Brandon Jennings.

Get ready for one minute of pure awesomeness. The yearly dunk contest features lesser-known talents, but it is as good, if not better, than some of the NBA’s best showcases.

Young Hollywood won the contest, but Jonathan Clark and Chris Staples did their thing as well. Splits, back flips, tall people jumping over short people… this dunk contest had it all!
