Drake Costs Toronto Raptors $25K After Making Comments About Kevin Durant
Drake found out the hard way what being an NBA team ambassador is all about.
The Toronto Raptors have been fined $25,000 after Drizzy commented on Kevin Durant during his OVO Fest show.
As team ambassador, it was considered tampering when he spoke about the Oklahoma City Thunder star forward therefore becoming a violation.
According to ESPN it is being called a “public recruiting pitch from the famed Canadian artist.”
The following comment is what got Drake and the team in trouble.
“Before we leave, I just want to show one of my brothers something. You know, my brother Kevin Durant was kind enough to come to the show tonight and watch us. I just want him to see what would happen if he came to play in Toronto. Let him know what would happen.”
I’m sure Drake has learned his lesson.
