Former New York Yankees Player Arrested On Assault Charge
Former New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins second baseman Chuck Knoblauch was reportedly arrested and charged with assault after allegedly hitting his ex-wife.
According to ESPN, Knoblauch was scheduled to be inducted into the Twins hall of fame August 23, but was cancelled after they heard of the news. He was released on $10,000 bond.
The Twins did not directly address the details of the arrest in their statement but did reference the fact that their decision was made “in light of recent news reports” and after “direct communication” with Knoblauch.
A damn shame really.
