Jason Kidd On His Way Out From the Nets? (Details)

ESPN has reported that Jason Kidd has been granted permission to speak with the Milwaukee Bucks. Jason Kidd asked for permission to do so after he wanted a bigger role with the team but got shot down on his efforts. Here’s what ESPN has to say:

Kidd, who just completed his first year as coach of the Nets, recently approached team ownership with several requests, including overseeing the team’s basketball operations department.

Nets officials, believing Kidd doesn’t have enough experience for such a responsibility, a league source told the Post, granted him permission to speak with other teams.

The Bucks, who just completed their first season under coach Larry Drew, then contacted Brooklyn requesting permission to speak with Kidd about potentially hiring him, and were granted it, according to the Post.

Billy King has been the team’s general manager since 2010. According to the Post, Kidd didn’t want the Nets to fire King but he did want a title and higher spot on the team’s “organizational hierarchy” than him.

Thats crazy. After all the hoopla that was done for Kidd to come over and join the organization right after his retirement. Now he maybe right back out after one season. What you guys think about this move? Leave us your thoughts below.
