Hold Up Dr. Dre: LeBron James Got $30 Million From The Apple/Beats Deal
LeBron James may be making a lot of money on the basketball court, but he’s not doing too bad from his other ventures as well.
Because of the deal made by Beats Electronics to sell to Apple, LeBron worked out an equity cash payout as he made a profit of about $30 million in the deal because of his investment in the company.
James reportedly jumped into the new investment in its early stages as Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre looked to market the popular headphones. He was given a one percent stake in the company according to ESPN. I guess that explains the multiple images of him during the game walking to the locker room with a big set of headphones in his ear everytime. Good job LeBron.
