Derek Fisher To Become The New Head Coach Of The New York Knicks

After Steve Kerr decided the job in Golden State was better for himself and his family, Phil Jackson had to go to plan b.

He got fined for his public comments, but after being patient the New York Knicks may have found their man.

The deal is reportedly a 5-year, $25 million deal.

According to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report, Kurt Rambis & Bill Cartwright will join the former point guard as their assistants with Rick Fox and Luke Walton also in the running.

Fisher played for the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. He had played for Phil Jackson with the Los Angeles Lakers after getting drafted by the team in 1996.

Neither the Knicks or Fisher have announced the deal as it has not become official yet.
