Two Teens Shot After Couple Spotted Having Sex Near Basketball Courts [Video]

From NY Daily News:

Two teenagers were shot after a group of children found a man and a woman having sex near the basketball courts at a central Virginia park, it was reported.

The victims, ages 17 and 19, were wounded when the gunfire erupted inside Blackwell Park on Tuesday, after a group of children — some as young as 8 years old — spotted the couple having sex nearby, cop sources and witnesses told WTVR-TV.

“It’s very discouraging,” one witness told the news station.

“I mean, kids will be kids and laugh and make fun if they see something inappropriate. It didn’t have to turn into someone getting shot.”

The shooting was allegedly ordered by the man who was caught having sex, because he was upset that some of the witnesses began to joke about the ordeal.

The two victims were taken to Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical Center, where they were expected to recover from their wounds. One was treated for a bullet in the back; the other was hit in the arm.

One parent, Vequila Frazier, said she was grateful her 14-year-old son wasn’t at the park that day.

“That could’ve been my child — he loves basketball and he plays there,” she told the local CBS affiliate.

She added that she was just as shocked that the couple was having sex in broad daylight.

“Go find a hotel or a car for that matter,” she told the news station. “You shouldn’t be at the park.”

There were no reports of any immediate arrests made
