Could The Replay In The NBA Be Over As We Know It?
If you read the title correctly, then yes, yes it is.
This year, we have already complained about replay WAY too much. Time spent on viewing the replay, still getting the call wrong, fouls not able to be reviewed etc.
Well all of that is about to change. [Enter Cheer Here].
That is because the NBA is going to overhaul their replay system for the better.
Just like the NHL and MLB, replay reviews will be held at a centralized station, where referees stationed there will sit by a tv and tell refereees at the stadium whether the call was correct or incorrect.
(Where do I sign up?)
This is all according to Heat beat writer Ira Winderman’s report as he said the following.
Just been informed the NBA WILL have a centralized replay center for next season's games. So these playoffs last games with on-site review.

So no more waiting 10 minutes for a call. Not being able to get the right feed for the replay (oh that has happened). No more text messages during replay telling you that the call was horrible. And most of all…no more beer stops between replays.
Should make for a smoother overall game. What do you think?
