Falcon’s Receiver Roddy White Losses Brother To Gun Violence
Atlanta Falcon wide receiver Roddy White lost his half brother last night after he was shot outside of a club in James Island, South Carolina.
According to police reports Tyrone Moore Jr. who was only 21 years old died after an altercation took place in front of the nightclub at 2:51 am. Witnesses say several shots were fired one of them hitting Moore. Moore was pronounced dead after arriving Medical University Hospital in Charleston shortly after. It is not clear yet if Moore was apart of the altercation.
According to ESPN, Falcons Owner Arthur Blank released a statement.
“We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy’s brother Tyrone,” the statement said. “Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.”
The shooting is still under investigation.
Moore was living with White for several years in Atlanta. No word yet from White nor his family.
