“Momma There Goes That Man!” Mark Jackson Returns To ESPN as a Game Analyst
After getting the boot from the Golden State Warriors as the head coach, Mark Jackson returns to ESPN as a game analyst.
According to ESPN, Jackson signed a multi-year contract with the world wide leader in sports. Jackson is scheduled to reunite with his former partners, play-by-play announcer Mike Breen and fellow analyst Jeff Van Gundy.
The Trio will make their return during Sunday night’s game one showdown between the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat.
Many thought Jackson would entertain another coaching job especially with the New York Knicks Head position wide open, but I guess he could not deal with another over barring owner.
I much rather see Jackson as an analyst than as a coach only because he is extremely good at it! He has two of the best catch phrases in the industry (“Momma There Goes That Man” and “Hand Down Man Down”) and the chemistry between himself, Breen and Van Gundy is excellent.
Let us know what you think of Jackson’s decision to go back to television instead of coaching.
