‘August Is Like A Little Brother To Me’ Trey Songz Explains Why He Never Reacted To ‘Beef’ With Alsina
When August and Trey where going through their little spat everyone wanted to know the event that triggered the issue between the two. Seeing as how Alsina was promoting his debut album many would bring up the question during interviews. Alsina was asked the question so much that he grew tired of the issue (i.e. The 106 and Park incident). In any case the two squashed whatever issue they had Alsina revealed in his interview with Angie Martinez.
In a recent radio interview Trey said explained why he never commented on the whole “beef” stating:
August is like a little brother to me. You know what I mean? I took him on early in his career. We had a discrepancy and he didn’t know how to deal with that. He hasn’t been in a situation where he has to answer the same question a million times. That’s frustrating so you know, I believe he spoke and said some things he didn’t really mean. Out of pressure….’Because I really care about him. I mean, I really–he got a lot going on in his life, outside of music. And I know that about him. So, I didn’t feel the need to speak out against him; that really don’t do nothing for me…Especially, I don’t wanna see nobody do bad.
