New York Yankees Outfield Carlos Beltran Day-To-Day With Bone Spurs In Elbow
If you were watching the Yankees game last night, you noticed that outfielder Carlos Beltran kind of just disappeared.
That is because he somehow got a bone spur in his right elbow after taking batting practice during last night’s loss to the New York Mets, (he was the designated hitter).
The outfielder received a cortisone shot in his elbow and is listeed day-to-day with the injury. In other words, we may not see him for a while and he could indeed need some surgery.
Joining him on the injured list is relief pitcher Shawn Kelley who is now on the disabled list with a strained lumbar spine (that just sounds painful, don’t it?).
Oh. And backup outfielder Ichiro Suzuki is also hurt with a strained lower back.
Somewhere the Yankees are saying to themselves not again!
