Cleveland Cavaliers Fire Head Coach Mike Brown… Again
Mike Brown can’t catch a break.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach Mike Brown for the second time, just a year after being rehired as head coach of the team.
Cleveland also announced the hiring of David Griffin as general manager which most likely coincided with Brown being let go, so that he could bring in his own regime.
Gilbert released a statement on Brown’s release.
“This is a very tough business. It pains all of us here that we needed to make the difficult decision of releasing Mike Brown. Mike worked hard over this last season to move our team in the right direction. Although there was some progress from our finish over the few prior seasons, we believe we need to head in a different direction. We wish Mike and his family nothing but the best.”
Before this Mike Brown was fired from the Los Angeles Lakers after a year and change on the job. The Cavs went 33-49 last season.
