Do you work excessive hours in a day? Have you been feeling tired?
Taking some ‘me’ time maybe a bit selfish especially when you have a family, work and a life. But it is a great way to created a more balanced, calm and happy existence for ourselves.
Let me tell you something all work and no play makes you a dull person. I mean let’s be honest our lives are entwined with countless routines that we follow everyday. I’m sure there are days that you don’t even have time to eat in peace!
We need to have some downtime! We need time to relax, reflect and simple rejuvenate. If not we miss out on opportunites for inner growth and renewal. In solitude, we are able to see clearly with being pulled outside ourselves by the demands of daily life. Turn off your cell phone, turn off your computer and take just some time off.
Learn to have some ‘me‘ time without feeling guilty about it too. Make the decision and comment to it. The guilt of taking time off for yourself destroys any benefits you would of recieved if you took the day off without feeling guilty. That negative emotion just sucks the life out of you making things worse.

1. Make the decision that you are going to take some time off to rejuvenate yourself so you will be more productive when you get back.
2. Commit to your decision and enjoy your time off.
3. If any thoughts or feelings of guilt come up, immediately clear your mind of these thoughts and remind yourself it’s ok for you to take time off.
4. Do something for yourself that will keep your mind focused on relaxation and enjoyment.
