Mark Jackson On Golden State Warriors Firing: ‘It Was A Great Day’ [Video]

Mark Jackson came on the Dan Patrick Show this morning to discuss his recent firing as head coach of the Golden State Warriors after winning 51 games and getting beat by the Los Angeles Clippers in seven games of the playoffs.

Jackson started off the interview by saying, “it was a great day, things work out the way things are supposed to.”

He discussed some of the pretexts that ended up getting fired.

Below are some quotables form the interview.

“If we advance, do I still have a job? I’m not really sure. We both walked into the meeting and we were both frustrated. … Things had to change.”

“There’s a way to do things. When people lie against you and make up stories … the evidence against it will be how you conduct yourself. … I’m going to take the high road. …. I’m not going to be disrespectful.”

He also believe that the organization was “lying” and “making up stories” about the head coach.

Speaking on rumors of his next move, Jackson also said he had not yet been contacted by the Knicks and is not sure that he will.
