Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich Gives Touching Interview To Craig Sager JR. [Video]

TNT’s NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager will be out the entire playoffs as he undergoes treatment for leukemia.

As a little tribute to their ailing soldier the network sent his son Craig Sager, Jr. to take on the daunting task of interviewing Gregg Popovich (which is historically a horrible/entertaining interview.)

During the interview between quarters Popovich gave a touching statement to Sager.

“Great questions from Craig JUNIOR. You did a great job. But I’d rather have your dad standing here.”

“We miss you. You’ve been an important part of all of us for a long time, doing a great job. We want your fanny back on the court, and I promise I’ll be nice.”

Following that classy statement, Sager, JR shared that the Head Coach and Spurs organization also wrote a letter to the longtime sideline reporter.

As part of the tribute, TNT hosts, analysts and play-by-play guys all wore some of Sager’s signature mis-matching crazy looking suits on air.

We wish him well on his recovery!
