ESPN Analyst & Former NFL Player Arrested On Alleged Domestic Violence Charge

Former New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson was arrested this morning for what is being called a possible assault with his ex-wife.

According to CBS Los Angeles,

“When deputies arrived, it was determined that the resident and his ex-girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute,” the LASD said.

Johnson was arrested at the scene and booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

He posted a $20,000 bond at 9:15 a.m. and was released from custody.

He is currently working for ESPN as an analyst for the station. NBC Sports caught up with the network in which they left the following statement.

“We are aware and are looking into it.”

Johnson a part of a long list of athlete’s or former athletes to have been charged with domestic violence.

TMZ’s reported that Johnson smashed his ex-girlfriend’s phone, causing a gash to her hand.

Minnesota Timberwolves Dante Cunningham, UFC Fighter Thiago Silva, Baltimore Ravens Ray Rice and boxer Floyd Mayweather were arrested for similar charges earlier this year.
