Check Out Who Made ESPN’s Top 25 Richest Athletes
ESPN has released their list of the 25 biggest paid athlete’s, and you might be surprised in some of the names that made the list.
Of course Floyd Mayweather tops the list by making $73.5 million, while scoring huge pay-per-view numbers every fight at this part of the career as people continuously watch one of the best in the history of the sport. Also helping that allure is the possibility everytime that someone could see history by watching Mayweather lose his own fight.
Soccer greats Christiano Ronaldo took the number two spot by making $50.2 million this year, and Lionel Messi got the number three spot by making $50.1 million in the past year.
From the NFL, Aaron Rodgers got the number one spot with $40 million. Out of all the NFL players in the 25 player list only one is not a quarterback in Calvin Johnson who made $25 million last season.
In the NBA, to no surprise Kobe Bryant is the highest paid athlete in the league earning $30.5 million a year. With A-Rod suspended for the season, Zach Grienke comes in at number one as the highest paid player at $28 million a year.
