Chad Johnson Looking to Take His Talents too…Canada? [Details]
Chad Johnson aka Chad Ochocino is still looking to keep his football career alive. Since no NFL teams will take a shot at him, Johnson will look to the Canadian Football League as the next best thing.
The former pro bowl receiver will have a try out this week with the Montreal Alouettes.
According to ESPN, the Aloulettes General Manager Jim Popp released a statement that contract talks with Johnson “have escalated” recently.
“We do expect to meet with Chad Johnson and work him out in Vero Beach, Fla. this week,” Popp said in the statement. “Talks did take place and have escalated over the last week.”
Johnson has not been on a NFL team since 2012 when he got cut by the Miami Dolphins after being arrested for allegedly headbutting his now ex wife Evelyn Lozada.
You have to respect Chad for going out and trying to keep his career alive. A lot of players would have to much pride to play in the CFL after playing in the NFL for as long as he has.
The question is though at 36 does Johnson still have what it takes to be successful on the field?
