Wrestlemania XXX Review: The Night The Streak Ended [Photos]

Wrestlmania Sunday always brings the allure of what was in the WWE and the hopes that somehow it would come back in all its glory. Sadly Wrestlmania 30 failed to do so.

Its hard to believe that the WWE could screw up a Wrestlmania that started off with Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock opening up the show, but they did.

The opening match between Triple H and Daniel Bryant was very good though. The winner got the opportunity to join the main event match between Batista and Randy Orton.

The match showed off the grit of Bryant and further pushed the yes movement. In the end Bryant pulled out the victory after surviving a pedigree by Triple H.

Later on during the main event triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight title Bryant was the clear favorite to win the match even though he got Batista Bombed/RKO’d through the announce table, which seemed to hurt Randy Orton way more than Bryant.

In the end, the voices of the WWE universe were heard and Daniel Bryant became the WWE World Heavyweight title or to attitude era fans the Undisputed Champion.

Every other match was pretty basic. The New Age Outlaws and Kane got destroyed by the Shield, John Cena defeated Bray Wyatt and almost turned heel in the process but stuck to his boring morals, AJ Lee retained her Divas title, and Cesaro won a 30 man battle royal filled with B and C rated superstars.

Those matches, as irrelevant as they where where not the reasons that Wrestlmania was disappointment, it was the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar match that had the crowd’s jaws collectively dropped, and not in a good way.

When Lesnar defeated the Undertaker, the Super Dome was silent and people did not know what to do. When the camera paned through the crowd the reactions where priceless, especially this guys.

Once everyone realized that the Undertaker really lost, chants began to ring out throughout the stadium.

“We Want A Refund!” and the classic “This Is Bull Sh#t!”

The anger did not come from Undertaker loosing, somewhere deep down we all knew the streak was going to end at some point. The anger came from who the WWE chose to break the streak.

Lesnar is a B+ superstar at best and did not deserve the privilege of defeating the Phenom.

There are rumors going around that Lesnar went off script and took the victory from Undertaker and will be fired. Chances are Undertaker was tired of defending the streak and just decided to call it quits. Either way most wished he lost to someone with a little more clout.

All in all this Wrestlmania was below average, saved by the new peoples champion Danial Bryant. It is a shame though, the WWE has some superstars with a lot of talent like Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt, but the story lines are just to pathetic to catch any interest in the match.
