NY Post Speculate on Jay Z and Carmelo Anthony Beliefs; ‘White Men Are the Devil’ [Details] (Photo)

NY Post wrote a story today on a jewelry piece that Jay Z wore to the Brooklyn Nets game last week. They also mentioned that Carmelo Anthony has also been seen donning the same style chain in the past. The chain is said to be a representation of the Five Percent Nation with an eight point star and the number 7 in the middle. They open their post with the following paragraph:

Black people are the fathers and mothers of civilization, white men are the devil, the Christian god is nothing more than a ghost and only a small percentage of people understand the world.

These are just some of the beliefs behind the bling — the gaudy Five Percent Nation medallions worn by Jay Z and Carmelo Anthony.

They even go as far as questioning active members of Five Percent Nation on their perception of Jay Z rocking their symbol as part of his fashion and member Saladin Allah has this to say:

Jay Z is not an active member — no one has vouched for him. It was always understood that you don’t wear the regalia if you don’t totally subscribe to the life.

I wonder if Jay Z will respond to this. Carmelo Anthony has been seen with the same type of piece and even wear Jersey number 7 yet no one has spoken up about his affiliation. You can read the whole article here. Check out the two wearing the controversy piece in the gallery above.
