The 1st Black Emojis Are Here … and They Don’t Come From Apple

People have been asking for them and now that they are here….. We are kind of disappointed.

Oju Africa, a part of the mobile company Mi-Fone, has created the first black emojis ever reports, the International Business Times. 15 of them are currently available for Android and are pending for Apple’s iOS.

“We follow global trends, but we are differentiated by our authentic African voice. So as a brand we wanted to do something that only Africa could pull off, something that could become so iconic that it would have the world talking. I believe what we have created will ensure that every African on the planet won’t be able to help but love it!” Creative Director Eserick Fouché said, according to IBT.
