NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Let’s You Know That ‘Millions of Fans’ Want A Team In LA

The last time Los Angeles had a team was 1994 when the Raiders moved from their home, to a new one in Oakland.

If NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had it his way, he’d have a new team call it home 20 years later.

That’s because the commissioner openly used the fans to express his desire to bring a team back to the California area.

“We’ve been very open that if we had the right opportunity to be back in Los Angeles with the right formula, meaning a stadium, most importantly.”

“We know there are millions of fans who want a team there. We would love to do that, but it has to be successful. We are going to do it right if we are going to do it. There are different proposals out there and different opportunities but not one that we are focused on and can say that we have the right solution yet. We’re not there.”

The question is if that were to happen, would the team allow another expansion of its league, or take another team from its current home and move them to the area?

Either way the NFL is surely trying hard to make sure a team will land there in the near future.
