The Upset Keep Coming With No. 10 Stanford Beating No. 2 Kansas [Video]
The Number 2 seed Kansas Jay Hawks got knocked out of the NCAA tornament today by the hands of the number 10 seed Stanford Cardinal.
Stanford’s size helped them defeat the Jay Hawks but the big story was the lack of production from Kansas star freshman Andrew Wiggins who went 1-16 from the field and scored only four points.
According to ESPN Wiggins is putting the entire lose on his shoulders.
“I let a lot of people down,” Wiggins said. “If I would have played better, we wouldn’t be in this situation, you know? I blame myself for this.”
Stanford was lead by the scoring of forward Dwight Powell who had 15 points, but Stanford also had 4 different players in double digits scoring while Kansas only had two.
The Game was close all the way to the final buzzer though, thanks to the sharp shooting of Kansas freshman Conner Frankamp, who went 4-7 from three point land. In the end Frankamp failed to hit the three to tie the game and the Jay Hawks lost 57-60.
