Killer Bees? New York Yankees & Boston Red Sox Game Cancelled Due To Major Swarm [Video]
The New York Yankees have seen their share of weird occurrences throughout their career.
Remember the midges that took over game 2 of the 2007 ALCS? You know the game that had Joba Chamberlain squirming on the mound and unraveling soon thereafter.
Maybe not the same amount of importance, but this shows that even in a spring training game, no Red Sox and Yankees game is normal.
Reports say that the game was delayed for seven minutes, because a swarm of bees decided they wanted to come out and play for a few minutes.
Good thing, it was was toward Boston’s Mike Carp who was playing left field. Ironically enough the batter afterwards, Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli hit a triple right to him.
