Philadelphia 76ers Loose 20th Straight Game,Ties Franchise Record [VIDEO]
There is nothing new about tanking in the NBA to get a high draft pic but what the Phildelhia 76ers are doing goes beyond tanking, they just look pathetic.
Last night the 76ers took on the Memphis Grizzlies and lost 107-77.
Not only did the 76ers score a season low total points (77) but they tied the franchise record for consecutive losses. They are also 6 losses away from tying the NBA’s all time record for consecutive losses set by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2010-2011 season
The 76ers will play the Indiana Pacers Monday where most believe they will continue the streak with 21 losses.
According to ESPN, 76ers head coach Brett Brown is still trying to remain optimistic and looking at the big picture,
“This is not slit-your-wrist time. This is not even close to that,” Brown said. “This is about building a program and understanding the short-term pain for a lot of long-term gain. That’s my vision. That’s how I approach it.”
Brown is hoping that all of these losses can lead up to a top draft pick in the summer and turn this sinking program around.
Until then do not expect to see any glimpse of hope from 76ers nation
