Steve Smith Signs With Baltimore Ravens
Former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith has reached a deal with the Baltimore Ravens to become their new wide reciever.
The 13-year Panther, agreed to a three-year deal with the the team after being released from the team that drafted him Thursday.
He vowed that if he got a chance to play his old team, that there would be “blood and guts everywhere.”
Get prepared, Ravens plays Carolina at Baltimore this season.
The 34-year-old Smith, who ranks 19th all-time in the NFL in receptions, was released Thursday by the Carolina Panthers after 13 seasons.
The Ravens have been looking for help at wide receiver ever since Anquan Boldin was traded to San Francisco before the 2013 season.
Smith caught 64 passes for 746 yards with four touchdowns in 2013, helping Carolina capture the NFC South championship. Smith is Carolina’s all-time leader in receptions (836), yards receiving (12,197) and touchdowns (67).
