Will Stone Cold Steve Austin Be At Wrestlemania XXX? [Video]

Here’s what we have for the 30th anniversary of WWE’s Wrestlemania next month.

Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, hell even a possible new legendary moment with Daniel Bryan possibly bringing what the Yes! movement wants in a world championship win.

What is missing is of course the king of the Attitude era. Stone Cold Steve Austin.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter,

WWE has reportedly pitched a storyline to Steve Austin to appear at WrestleMania 30. The company is planning on making a big push for Hulk Hogan and legends merchandise based on a “big four” of Hogan, Austin, Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior and wants all four at the show

That could be fun. If only CM Punk was around.

He currently has a syndicated radio show called the Steve Austin Show where he speaks about all things wrestling. Would you like to see Steve Austin for one more iconic day? Let us know.

For now, just enjoy one of his greatest Wrestlemania matches against The Rock at Wrestlemania XIX.

Much like how Hogan is hailed for defining WrestleMania in the early years of the annual extravaganza, it was Austin who brought the event back to life in the 1990s. After years of middling cards and buyrates, it was Austin’s charisma that brought in the Attitude Era.

In fact, you can look at Austin’s title victory against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 14 and Austin’s selling out to Vince McMahon at the end of WrestleMania X-7 as the unofficial bookends to one of the company’s most influential eras.

Would we all like to see Austin at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans? Of course we would. Austin brings excitement to the screen whenever he appears. His personality and his gimmick are so intertwined it’s hard to see where one begins and the other ends. He speaks his mind and brings a smile to the face of Attitude Era fans in each segment he’s a part of.
