Miguel Cotto & Middleweight Champion Sergio Martinez Prepare For Epic Showdown In Puerto Rico [Video]

Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez are setting up for a huge fight June 7th for the WBC & The Ring middleweight title of the world.

Set to face off during Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend, the two fighters are met up at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico to promote the fight in a press conference between the two.

On RingTV Martinez spoke about the challenge this fight would be.

“This will be the first challenge that I have against someone who is smaller than me for many years. But Miguel Cotto will be sleeping before the 9th round. the fight will be a knockout before the 9th.”

Cotto is looking to be the first Puerto Rican fighter to win four titles in four different divisions.

“I am looking forward to this fight because a win will be historic in Puerto Rican boxing history as I become a four-time world champion in four different divisions. I will prepare myself to be the best that I can be inside the ring like I always do.”

He last fought Dominican boxer Delvin Rodriguez where he won by TKO in the 3rd round. Meanwhile Martin Murray retained his belts by defeating British Martin Murray by unanimous decision.

The two will fight at 159 pounds at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City.
