Namio Campbell Leads March To End Violence Against Women In Heels [Details]
Supermodel Naomi Campbell took to the streets of Manhattan as she guided over 600 supporters in the “UN Women for Peace’s March In March To End Violence Against Women” campaign this past Friday.
Making the walk in a pair of the heel, the supermodel was joined by Cindy McCain, Kelly Rutherford, Trudy Styler, Ban Soon-Taek, Kim Cattrall, Muna Rihani Al Nasser and Nassir Al-Nasser.
The women marched throughout Manhattan shedding light on the efforts beginning made towards rights and equality for women across the world. During the event Campbell took time to address all those gathered stating:
I love strong women and I surround myself with strong women and immediately in here I feel all this energy, it’s fantastic. I think the more you join forces, the stronger you feel. I’m very happy to be here. I think [women] are so strong and sometimes stronger than we know. Sometimes there’s things we think we can’t get through, but we’re able to cope.
Christian Louboutin said it best “High heels empower women in a way.” Check out photo’s from the walk in the gallery.
